Anna Serner - A New CEO of TU
Now Barbro Fischerström steps down after 14 years as the CEO of the Swedish Newspaper Publishers Association, Tidningsutgivarna (TU). She is replaced by Anna Serner, who took her new position on February 1st.
- I am looking forward to lead the public debate on the condition of media, power and responsibilities, says Anna Serner, who was appointed already in May 2007.
- The role of TU will be even more public. It´s important not only in our efforts of recruiting new members among the media companies.
A new position as a Public Affairs officer has been established in order to stress the public activites of TU.
Anna Serner is 43 years old, a lawyer by profession. Until recently she has been a consultant. For eight years she held the position as CEO of the Advertising Association of Sweden, Reklamförbundet.
Before retiring Barbro Fischerström will chair the local host planning committe of the World Newspaper Congress in Sweden 2008.
